Kids Adventure Theatre - 1997

The Kids' Adventure Theatre for 1997 was held at Dillon's "Taste of the Summit". The theme of this year's interactive theatrical adventure centered around "Cinderella". Prince Charming needed the children's help to find the place that Cinderella was being kept prisoner. The Prince had a special map to follow. Along the route the children met kooky characters from "Cinderella", sang, and danced. The show ran four times during the day and had 150 kids involved.

Kids Adventure Theatre - 1995

The Kids' Adventure Theatre presented on June 24, 1995 was a new addition to the Taste of the Summit. The performance drew 45 children ages 4-9 into a magical land of interactive theatre. The new Lake Dillon Theatre Company (LDTC) staged three sessions that involved the young people's imaginations as they journeyed in search of The Heart of the Rockies which had been stolen by the Gnomes of the Gnorth. The children were entertained while their parents relaxed and took in the Taste.

AdventureTheatre Bettyjo Knapp, LDTC president, who authored the production, played the part of the Storyteller. On their trip, the kids met: the Mayor of Sillyville (Judy Yeo); the King and Queen of Blizzard Burg (Doug and Corinne Bair); Giggleumpus (Richard Rutledge); Old MacDonald (Marge Fallon); the Mystical Lady of the Mask (Jean Williams) and the Gnome of the Gnorth (Bonnie Evers). The gypsies were Nancy Stevens, guitarist, and Lennie Singer, the company's artistic director

LittleBoyBlue
The show was based on a number of nursery rhyme characters most kids are familiar with such as: Little Boy Blue, Little Miss Muffet, Mother Goose, and Humpty Dumpty. The play touches on several themes, but acceptance seems to be the most prominent.
